About Dr. Saltzman, M.D.

Biography

Dr. Leonard D. Saltzman is originally from Fair Lawn, New Jersey and went to college in Boston at Tufts University. He returned to NJ for medical school at New Jersey Medical School before travelling to Pittsburgh Pennsylvania for his Family Practice Residency training.

Have always been interested in private practice, Dr Saltzman accepted an offer to open a medical practice in Albemarle, North Carolina and admit patients to Stanly Memorial Hospital. The hospital has undergone a lot of changes over the years, but Dr. Saltzman still admits his patients to the hospital and follows them at Bethany Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation where is he is the medical director for the Nursing Home.

Dr. Saltzman has been active at the hospital and has been Chief of Staff on two occasions and has served as both Chairman of Family Practice and a member of the medical staff executive committee for many years.

He has also served the community as the medical director for the John P Murray Community Care Clinic and as Medical Director for GHA Autism Supports.

Dr. Saltzman is married to Rose Saltzman and they have two kids, Danny who is 14 and Katie who is 8.
